just my onion here but i think the lotr movies are very good but its next to impossible to watch them completely seriously as your primary activity at that moment. you either have to be watching while doing something else or while like making jokes about it with a friend/friends or its the most mind bogglingly slow experience you will ever have. im not saying it cant be done but most of the time its just not realistic. and dont even get me started on the extended fucking ultra omega directors cut exclusive bonus samwise frodo fuck scene enhanced edition that nerds will try to bully you into watching
